I just returned from Turtle Creek Glen where I spent a few hours finalizing preparations for AgoraFest. The sun was shining, the temperature was in the upper 70’s, the meadow was freshly mowed, and in the forest across the Withywindle old Tom and Goldberry await your arrival. The weather looks like it will be partly sunny through the weekend, with a slight chance of rain, but it does get cool at night (down to the 50s) so bring a jacket or sweater – it will be great outdoor sleeping weather!

If you are camping please remember to bring your sleeping bag, personal toiletries, and of course the most massively useful thing you can carry, your towel. You may also want to bring a flashlight, headlamp, or other photon emitting device. This year some of us are making a particular effort to tart up the place a bit with solar LED lighting, which is inexpensive and fun. If you want bring a couple strings of your own and we’ll celebrate the equinox in style!

If you are still in need of a tent, remember Ahmed’s Magical Tents (see previous update here: https://agorafest.com/index.php/ahmeds-magical-tents/) can still provide you with a luxurious shelter that will require no effort from you at all to set up or take down, other than a modest offering that is scarcely worth mentioning. Ahmed will also be available during the weekend with a limited amount of useful camping supplies – please see the schedule for how to contact him.

I’m really liking this new venue and am very excited about AgoraFest 2016. Please let me know if you have any last minute questions or requests, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
