people look in the telescope

Did you know that you can see a galaxy 2½ million light-years away with your unaided eyes? Craters on the Moon with binoculars? And with a halfway decent telescope, countless wonders await you in night sky! The first step is simply to look up and wonder.

Join us @ AgoraFest this year for an introduction to Cosmology and Astronomy and a star gazing workshop later at night where you will learn how to find different celestial objects including constellations and the planets. You will even use a 6 inch motorized telescope and actually see some of the planets up close, Saturn’s giant ring, Jupiter and its moons, some cool stars, and even a galaxy or two!

Feel free to bring your own telescope or a set of binoculars if you have one. Also, the cool kids bring flashlights that emit (dim) red light only. Finally you will be able to see those alien moon bases!

Check the schedule for workshop days and times – see you at AgoraFest!
